NUTRITION

At Grow Together Early Learning, nutrition is an important part of each child’s day. We provide healthy, balanced meals that support growth, learning, and wellbeing, while helping children develop positive lifelong relationships with food.

All meals are freshly prepared onsite each day by our centre cooks using quality ingredients and a rotating seasonal menu designed for growing children.

Nutrition

We look forward to supporting your family’s early learning journey at Grow Together Early Learning.

The Grow Together Kitchen

Our kitchen is at the heart of the centre, providing fresh, nutritious, child-friendly meals every day. Meals are planned to ensure children receive a balanced variety of food groups in line with the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

We provide:

Safe, Inclusive, and Allergy Aware

Children’s safety is always our priority. We follow strict food safety practices and work closely with families to support individual dietary needs.

Balanced and Child-Focused Menus

Our menus are designed to be nutritious, varied, and enjoyable for children. We rotate menus regularly to reflect seasonal ingredients and keep meals fresh and interesting.

Our fresh, seasonal menus are rotated regularly to make the most of quality ingredients while providing children with ongoing variety and new food experiences.

Meals include a balance of:

Fresh fruits and vegetables

Whole grains and cereals

Proteins such as meat, legumes, and dairy alternatives

Healthy hydration throughout the day

Family Input into Our Menus

We value the ideas and experiences that families bring to our centre community. Families are encouraged to share recipe ideas, favourite meals and cultural dishes, helping us create menus that celebrate diversity and reflect the interests of our community. We also welcome family feedback, which is considered when planning and updating our fresh, seasonal menus.

Munch and Move Program

Our menus are Munch & Move certified, ensuring they meet NSW Health guidelines for balanced nutrition and healthy eating. We also align our practices with the NSW Health Munch and Move program, supporting healthy habits through daily routines.

Nutrition as Part of Learning

Mealtimes are social learning experiences where children build independence and life skills. We create a calm environment where children feel comfortable trying new foods at their own pace.

Hydration and Daily Care

Children have access to fresh drinking water throughout the day. Educators regularly encourage hydration, especially during outdoor play and warm weather, to support energy, focus, and well-being.
