Grow Together Early Learning Centre (“Grow Together,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operated by MMNE Education Pty Ltd (ABN 39 661 999 284), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy applies to our website (growtogetherelc.com.au) and to the services we provide at our centre at 122 Livingstone Road, Marrickville NSW 2204. By using our website or providing us with your information, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

What information we collect

We may collect the following personal information: From parents, guardians, and carers: your name, email address, phone number, home address, and any information you choose to include in an enquiry or tour request. About children: your child’s name, date of birth or age, and, where you provide it, information about allergies, dietary requirements, medical or health needs, cultural background, and developmental information relevant to their care. Automatically from our website: technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies and website analytics” below). We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities as an early learning centre.

How we collect information

We collect personal information: through the enquiry and book-a-tour forms on our website; directly from you when you contact us by phone, email, or in person; through our enrolment and orientation processes; through the OWNA parent communication app, which we use to share updates and communicate with families; and through our website’s analytics and cookies. Where reasonable and practicable, we collect personal information directly from you. If we collect information about your child, we generally collect it from you as the parent or guardian.

Why we collect and how we use your information

We collect, hold, and use personal information to: respond to enquiries and arrange centre tours; process and manage enrolments and provide education and care services; communicate with families about their child’s care, routines, learning, and wellbeing; meet our obligations under early childhood education and care laws, and health, safety, and child protection requirements; comply with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, including record-keeping and confidentiality requirements (Regulations 181–184); administer fees and, where applicable, assist families with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS); and improve our website and services. We will not use your personal information for a purpose other than the one for which it was collected unless you would reasonably expect us to, you have consented, or we are otherwise permitted or required by law.

Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose personal information to: our staff and educators, as needed to provide care; third-party service providers who support our operations, including our childcare management and parent communication platform (OWNA) and our website and technology providers; Australian Government agencies, such as Services Australia, where necessary to administer the Child Care Subsidy or to meet legal and regulatory obligations; health professionals or emergency services where necessary to protect a child’s health, safety, or welfare; and other parties where required or authorised by law. Some of our service providers may store or process data outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Direct marketing

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for direct marketing without your consent. If you subscribe to our newsletter or updates, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Children's privacy

We take particular care with information relating to children. Information about a child is provided to us by, and managed with, the child’s parent or guardian. We handle children’s information sensitively and only use it for the purpose of providing appropriate care and education, meeting our duty of care, and complying with our legal obligations.

Photos and images

Photos or videos of children are only taken, used, or published (including on our website, newsletters, or social media) with the consent of the child’s parent or guardian, in line with our centre’s Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Social Media Policy. You may withdraw this consent at any time.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, remember your preferences, and measure website performance. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the website may not work as intended if you do.

Accessing and correcting your information

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you or your child, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete. To make a request, please contact our Privacy Officer using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before providing access. We will respond as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days from your request. There is no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee to cover retrieval costs where information is not readily available — we will advise you of any cost and obtain your agreement before proceeding. In limited circumstances permitted by law we may be unable to provide access; if so, we will tell you why in writing and explain how you can complain.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter. We will respond within a reasonable time.
